Gisela Loewe - Mountain 02/20
Biografía del Artista: Gisela Loewe is a German contemporary artist born in Heidelberg in 1957. She showed a keen interest in art from a young age and trained at the Academy of Art in Karlsruhe in the 1980s, where she studied with leading artists such as Georg Baselitz and Markus Lüpertz. Loewe's work is characterised by a strong emotional charge and a great sensitivity to detail. She uses a wide variety of media, including painting, sculpture, installation and drawing, to explore themes such as identity, memory and the relationship between the individual and the environment. Her style is often abstract and minimalist, with organic and geometric forms that suggest a sense of constant movement and change. Throughout her career, Loewe has exhibited her work in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, the Kunstverein in Frankfurt and the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, among others. In addition, she has received several awards and grants, such as the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and the CIFO Foundation Prize. In her most recent work, Loewe has explored themes related to nature and the environment, creating installations that involve natural materials and elements of nature. For example, in her exhibition "Garden of Earthly Delights", presented at the Palace of Versailles in 2018, she created a series of sculptures and paintings that evoked a kind of mystical garden, full of organic forms and vibrant colors. In short, Gisela Loewe is a German contemporary artist whose work has been recognized for its sensitivity and emotiveness, as well as for its ability to explore complex themes through a variety of media and techniques.
