Flower Garduño
Photograph
68.5 x 60.5 cm

Mexican Flor Garduño, one of the most influential photographers in Latin America, spent her childhood in her family home, which, as she says, was a real zoo. Being constantly surrounded by animals made them important protagonists in many of her photographs, such as this one in which a woman shows us a collection of iguanas tied together as a necklace.
I know Muñoz

This image was taken by Isabel Muñoz, winner of the 2016 National Photography Award, under Japanese waters. In her own words, “I started this project attracted by the beauty of marine environments and as a warning against the dangers that threaten their survival. The sea gives us everything without asking anything in return. We take for granted that its wealth is inexhaustible, that it can withstand our carelessness, our lack of foresight, our excesses. But things are not like that. What are we going to leave to our children and grandchildren if we are not capable of taking care of its treasures, if we continue to throw plastics into the sea that are death traps for the species that inhabit it, if we continue to dump waste that will put an end to marine biodiversity?”

Alberto Ros
Photograph
40 x 70 cm

Buy

This installation by Alberto Ros is made from recycled tin cans that the artist has turned into light boxes. Each one contains an image, which together make up a scene from a landfill. Despite how prosaic the subject may seem, the result is a surprising visual poem that captivates us with its contradictory narrative.

The Kiss is part of the Peluquería series, with which Bárbara Allende Gil de Biedma began to make a name for herself in the artistic panorama of the Madrid scene. Ouka Leele, winner of the 2005 National Photography Award, initially started with a black and white copy that she coloured with watercolours afterwards.

Carlos Perez Siquier

The series “La Playa”, to which this photograph belongs, is an example of how within classical Spanish photography there were flashes of surprising modernity even in the international framework. Martin Parr himself has recognized the exceptional nature of the color work of Pérez Siquier, winner of the 2003 National Photography Prize.

Cecilia Paredes
Photograph

Buy

This photograph is one of the Peruvian artist's signature photoperformances, emotional narratives that she translates into visual language by painting her body in endless mise en scene with her own figure as inspiration and source.

Ramon Masats
Photograph
30 x 40 cm

Buy

An iconic work of Spanish photography that is highly representative of the genius of this author, winner of the 2004 National Photography Award and a reference for the generation of the 1950s that renewed and shook up the concept of photography in our country that existed until then.

Christopher Hara
Photograph
40 x 50 cm
Editions: 30

Buy

If you ask Cristóbal Hara what distinguishes his way of working in color, he will answer that it is perhaps his lack of control over the images. The heritage of this photographer with a documentary tradition, winner of the 2022 National Photography Award, is enriched by taking advantage of the intervention of chance and the unexpected. By studying alternatives in the construction of images, he manages to break with the correctness of traditional composition in favor of the emotional charge of the works.

Solitude Cordoba
Photograph
100 x 150 cm

Buy

The Leonardo scholarship from the BBVA Foundation awarded to Soledad Córdoba in 2017 allowed the artist to spend two years travelling across the North American deserts to create her series “Trilogy of the Soul”, where her body, the central element of all her work, merges with the desert like an animated organism.

Juan Manuel Castro Prieto
Photograph
40 x 40 cm

Buy

In his alchemical vocation, Castro Prieto, winner of the 2015 National Photography Award, turned the lockdown forced by the pandemic into an opportunity to explore the possibilities of gold in the development of his works. This photograph is based on a black and white negative that has been developed on glass using several layers of silver gelatin. Behind them, 24-carat gold.
