Art Wednesday: Isidro Blasco
Art Wednesdays with Elisa Hernando presents the artist Isidro Blasco (Madrid, 1962) whose work deals with architecture and visual iconography from a fragmentary, incomplete perspective. The Madrid artist explores the terrain and distorts it by connecting images in sculptures reminiscent of cubism. His work has been exhibited in major museums and institutions such as the Museo Reina Sofia and belongs to the collections of the Whitney Museum, Queens Museum of Art or MoMA, among others. In this video we take a tour of his artistic production and museum exhibitions with the help of gallery owner Raquel Ponce, architect José Juan Barba and the artist herself. His exhibition will be temporarily online at Redcollectors.com and physically at the Ponce + Robles gallery in Madrid.
