Biografía del Artista: David Heras is an artist born in Madrid who combines analog painting and digital creation in his work. As for painting, he works on canvas and employs the technique of abstract expressionism and informalism. As for digital creation, he uses multiple elements such as photographs, illustrations, digital illustrations and elements found on the web. All of this is combined with a good mixing job to create unique compositions and countless variations. Through his work, Heras seeks to explore dynamic digital abstract expressionism, in the post-digital era. Much of his creative process consists of searching for pieces that he later mixes to generate works that are nourished by searching and improvisation. In addition to his unique technique, Heras has been recognized for his work with multiple exhibitions in national and international art galleries and museums. He has received several awards and honorable mentions, including the BMW Painting Award in Spain in 2011 and First Prize at the Albacete Plastic Arts Biennial in 2007. His work is also part of public and private collections in Spain and other countries.
