ARTIKA invites us to discover Frida Kahlo's Dreams, an artist's book that showcases the overwhelming personality and undeniable talent of the Mexican painter, cultural symbol and universal icon. For the first time, this edition allows us to enjoy all the drawings that exist by Frida Kahlo in a unique and unrepeatable work. To do so, a meticulous task of locating and collecting them was necessary, since many of them disappeared after her death, while others were forgotten in private legacies, not always accessible, and in museums. The Art Book offers a selection of 34 drawings, reproduced at original scale and accompanied by quotes that Frida herself wrote down in her Diary. The Art Folder allows you to discover the reproduction of a large sepia print of Frida Kahlo, El pájaro nalgón (1946), a spectacular and enigmatic mosaic from the time of her affair with José Bartolí. The Book of Studies, illustrated with nearly 100 drawings, offers the first analysis of Frida Kahlo's work by the most renowned experts on the artist. Helga Prignitz-Poda, co-author of the catalogue raisonné on Frida's works, art historian and exhibition curator, analyzes the Mexican painter's work in depth. This study is completed by Juan Rafael Coronel Rivera, journalist and poet, grandson of Diego Rivera and María del Sol Argüelles San Millán, director of the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, who show the most intimate side of the artist.
