'15 years'
November 10, 2004. Mid-morning. Hernández Pijuan climbs a ladder and draws a mustard-colored mesh on the wall of the gallery entrance with his brushes. That same afternoon, the opening of our first exhibition would take place. 15 years have passed since then. We had never organized a group exhibition in all this time. The pandemic we have had to live through has made us reflect and look back with a certain nostalgia. For us, a gallery is a personal project where origins, career and tastes influence the selection of traveling companions. Just as people evolve, the gallery, the creators and their works also change. All of this has motivated us to present this collective at APERTURA Madrid Gallery Weekend, where everyone from our most veteran artists, such as Joan Hernández Pijuan, to the Londoner Simon Callery, one of our most recent additions, will participate. It is impossible for all those who have exhibited with us to be represented here today. Therefore, our challenge has been to articulate a set of works with a coherence that allows them to coexist with each other, despite their differences.
