Ellen Kooi will present her new works in which water becomes an essential element of the landscape, and in which people write their own stories and invite the viewer to draw their own conclusions from their personal experiences. Ellen is one of the most renowned Dutch photographers along with Erwin Olaf, Rineke Dijkstra, Ruud van Empel, or Hellen van Meene. Ellen's re-invention of the traditional genre of "landscape with figures" goes beyond the re-interpretation or re-reading of the great Flemish masters of the past such as Vermeer, Brueghel, Patinir, or El Bosco, but rather raises from nothing, from everyday life, unstable images full of hidden questions that make us feel an inner beat, a sensation.
