Eduardo Naranjo - Two odes
Técnica: Serigraphy
Biografía del Artista: He was born in Monesterio, Badajoz, on August 25, 1944. He is considered the greatest representative of the so-called dreamlike magical realism, not devoid of enormous realism, beauty and poetry in his paintings. In 1957 he met his teacher Eduardo Acosta and entered the School of Arts and Crafts of Badajoz, where he remained until 1960. That same year he entered the School of Fine Arts of Santa Isabel de Hungría in Seville, which he attended until 1961 when he moved to Madrid to complete his training at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando, where he completed his official painting studies. . He has collaborated on the set design of several plays, including: "The House of Bernarda Alba" by Federico García Lorca, alongside José Carlos Plaza, in "El Español", and in "Make Me a Story of the Night" by Jorge Márquez. He is an artist who has rarely shown solo shows, although he frequently does so in group shows alongside other great contemporary painters. His work is represented in numerous public museums and in countless private collections, making him one of the most sought-after living Spanish painters. In 1979, after his famous exhibition at the Biosca gallery: “The most important figures in culture and art”, he was chosen as “Best Plastic Artist of the year in Black and White”. His 1993 retrospective at the Centro Cultural de la Villa in Madrid was visited by almost two hundred and fifty thousand people of different nationalities. This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity.
