ALEGRÍA Y PIÑERO - I heard
Biografía del Artista: Alegría y Piñero are a contemporary artist duo formed by Inés Alegría and Miguel Piñero, who have collaborated on various artistic projects since 2010. Both were born in Spain, Inés Alegría in Madrid in 1984 and Miguel Piñero in Seville in 1982. They studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid and, after graduating, they began working together on projects that explore the relationships between art, technology and contemporary society. Alegría and Piñero's work is characterized by their interest in technology and interactivity, and by their ability to generate experiences that actively involve the viewer. Through installations, performances and digital projects, the duo seek to generate a dialogue between art and technology, and explore the possibilities of creativity in an increasingly digitalized world. Their most notable exhibitions include "Futuros Posibles" (2012), at the Galería Espacio Mínimo in Madrid, "Máquinas del Tiempo" (2014), at the Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, and "Entrelazados" (2017), at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Madrid. They have also participated in numerous international art fairs, such as ARCOmadrid, Art Basel Miami and Art Dubai. In addition to their work as artists, Alegría and Piñero have been teachers at various educational institutions, and have given workshops and lectures on art and technology around the world. Their work has been recognized with numerous awards and mentions, including the ARCOmadrid/BEEP Electronic Art Award (2015) and the National Digital Art Award (2018). With their work, Alegría and Piñero have managed to establish themselves as one of the most interesting and avant-garde proposals in contemporary Spanish art, and have managed to take technology and interactivity to new levels in the field of art.
