Biografía del Artista: Ana Sánchez was born in Salamanca, Spain in 1964 and currently lives and works in Madrid. She has a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and has developed a highly relevant artistic career. Ana Sánchez's work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in places such as Madrid, Vitoria, Barcelona, Paris, Malta and Belgium, among others. In addition, her work has been awarded with various grants and prizes, such as the Painting Scholarship of the Spanish Academy in Rome in 1999 and the Casa Velázquez Scholarship in Madrid in 2000. Her work has been presented at national and international fairs such as ARCO, CIRCA, FOROSUR or ESTAMPA and has been acquired by prestigious public and private collections, such as the Contemporary Art Collection of the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo, the Engraving Collection of the National Library and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Madrid, among others. Ana Sánchez's work is characterized by a refined technique and a great sensitivity in the capture of light and color. His painting revolves around nature and its relationship with human beings, creating landscapes full of life and energy that transmit great emotion to the viewer. His work reflects a deep knowledge of visual language and a commitment to experimentation and innovation. The series 'Posters' is a praise to language and communication that proposes a new encounter with the word, which here is used as a pictorial and symbolic object, being stripped of its semantic and narrative value. The basic materials for the construction of these inarticulate images are texts from advertising posters, with which I create images with the aim of blurring the boundary between reality and fiction, constructing a literary flow not governed by the rules of language. Using dissection, tearing and restructuring of words, I seek an impossible narrative that focuses on poetic, musical and emotional communication. The letters and phrases are destroyed and re-created to the point of becoming indecipherable and yet close, recognizable... evoking landscapes of thought. Like a puzzle, where the words, broken and blurred, show us the coexistence between the logic of classical narrative and the logic-illogic of contemporary abstract thought. This textual and lyrical 'discourse' turns the lyrics into something completely abstract that stimulates or encourages us to enter into different thought processes; to look at the work as someone who listens to music, without trying to develop a process of narrative understanding or intellectual apprehension. These are decontextualized texts, whose new 'syntax' is strange and at the same time close to us, enveloping us in conflicting feelings of familiarity and discomfort, provoking a certain strange attraction. This “broken syntax” transforms the meaning into something unstable and polysemic, and thus, by deconstructing the form, and with it the concept and the meaning, the possibility opens up for the image, the narrative, and the power of evocation to be woven with an unexpected magic. It is another way of telling, a new relationship with language that implies a mental restructuring that creates another relationship with narrative time... and also, in a paradoxical way, with sensation and subjectivity. Perhaps it is about embarking on a personal journey, of creative nomadism, of imagining a mobile border, from which to play at thinking differently.This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authenticating value of the artwork. The certificate may be signed by the author of the artwork, by the representative gallery, or by the engraver who collaborated with the artist on the artwork.
The information that a certificate of authenticity usually includes is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of it.
