‘Fons Perdut de Nosvols’

According to Andrés Galeano, photography operates in a similar way to clouds: it connects the earthly instance with the celestial, it channels the human desire for transcendence, the will to project and ascend, and it returns them in the form of images that often aspire to represent a meaning and depth that go beyond those of mundane life. Galeano, who inscribes his artistic practice in the field of post-photography and who formalizes his works through publications, installations, photographic collages, videos and performances, has been interested for years in exploring these connections between photography and the celestial and, especially, in analyzing how, from its birth to the present, the photographic medium has served to connect these two instances.
