‘The facts and the media’
The Fernando Pradilla gallery presents the second solo exhibition by Carlos León (Ceuta, 1948). The exhibition, entitled Los hechos y los medios, brings together recent works in large and medium format on wood, selected by the artist in close collaboration with the curator Fernando Castro Flórez, who is also the author of the critical text that accompanies the exhibition. Los hechos y los medios reflects the extent of Carlos León's evolution in recent years in which, according to himself, he has freed himself from many constraints and is entering a new stage in which the support and pictorial media are no longer premises but precisely that "media" to develop grandiose images, fully contemporary and, at the same time, as is customary in León's work, anchored in the soul of primitive caveman paintings.
