‘Places of War’
'Places of War' will be an installation concept, consisting of an inventory of photographs that have been altered in colour and used drawings, five paintings on cut-out Plexiglas and mounted on light boxes, on the theme of war. The current scenario of war in various parts of the world was the starting point for this original work. Cities have become targets of political activity in permanent coercion. Places that were once places of encounter and coexistence are now ephemeral spaces of rupture and conflict.
From an inventory of images about war and its consequences on communities in various countries, the artist selected a set of photographs depicting the chaotic state of cities, which were subject to attacks or bombings. By altering the chromatic aspect, the images were also subjected to a graphic intervention to define a kind of geometry of chaos.
