‘Angles and plots’

“Ángulos y tramas”, Gerardo Delgado’s second exhibition at the Rafael Ortiz Gallery, brings together a set of paintings made in 2020 and 2021, years of confinement and, consequently, years of intensive work for the artist. This exhibition shows two somewhat complementary series: the series “Espacios angulares”, where bands of colors are superimposed on a surface developed in angles, highlighting its edges, and the series “Tramas negras” (Black plots) where a black lattice structures the background, leaving bands and triangles of contrasting colors, either in individual paintings or in others that are configured as diptychs.
