'The breath of days'
«The Breath of the Days» is the second solo exhibition by artist Helena Toraño (Llanes, Asturias, 1984) at the Gema Llamazares gallery. This exhibition, as the artist herself explains in the introductory text, has been a way of escape during the months of confinement, changing the initial theme chosen for a more liberating one where landscapes and scenes take us to that idyllic and dreamlike world that she also uses in her works. “That wonderful trip to Toraño”, as the remembered critic, Rubén Suarez, so well defined it. In total, twenty-four works make up this exhibition that take us on a journey through landscapes, places and moments that, in the words of curator Semíramis Gonzalez, reflect “attempts to escape from a strange new reality...”
