‘Presence field’

Campo de presencia is a tour of the best light interventions on the landscape that Javier Riera has carried out in the last two years, which is completed with an intervention on the gallery wall. A fundamental part of the exhibition are photographs taken with light and geometry on the humidity of the beach environment that introduces a novel factor in the artist's usual works.

In Riera's works, space is understood as an active and transformative element, open to the perception of the essential dynamics of nature and to the recognition of its presence within ourselves. Geometry is the language capable of establishing subtle bridges between the interior and the exterior, opening up the vision towards new experiences of perception. The title of the exhibition refers to Merleau-Ponty and his theory on space.
