Biografía del Artista: José María Mellado (Almería, Spain, 1966) has established himself as one of the most outstanding photographers in Spain and his landscapes, the result of a tireless and personal search for beauty in the apparently vulgar, dull or decadent, enjoy great international recognition. He has participated in important fairs such as ArtBasel, Art Brussels, Art Cologne, Art Karlsruhe, Photo Miami, Pulse, SCOPE, ArteLisboa or ARCO. His work has been awarded on more than a hundred occasions and his works appear in important collections and museums, highlighting the Permanent Collection of the Museo Nacional Reina Sofía, Borusan Contemporary in Istanbul, Chazen Museum of Art (Wisconsin, USA), Contemporary Art Collection of the Community of Madrid, Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art, among others. The passionate search for beauty in the apparent vulgar, bland or decadent is one of the keys that make up this artist's discourse. In his effort to convey to the viewer the sensations experienced at the time of taking the greatest possible complexity and fidelity, Mellado has thoroughly investigated the technical possibilities of capture, processing and copying. Their work artistic is collected in four books of work: “The Silence and the Light”, “Iceland”, “Landscape. The Eternal Return” and “From Heaven to Earth”. The information that a certificate of authenticity usually includes is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of it.
Recomendaciones para una conservación adecuada de las obras de arte:
- Mantener las obras de arte alejadas de la luz directa del sol y de cualquier otra fuente de calor (calefacción, aire acondicionado, etc.) Evitar colgar las obras cerca de zonas con humo y contaminación (como chimeneas o cocinas). Te aconsejamos proteger los cuadros con un marco de cristal.
- Evitar las alteraciones bruscas de temperatura. Se recomienda conservar las obras pictóricas en zonas con temperatura ambiente de entre 18-20º y un 50% de humedad relativa.
- Si se quiere iluminar la obra de forma permanente, aconsejamos utilizar focos de luz fría. Utilizar un plumero suave para la limpieza periódica de la obra. Nunca usar limpiador doméstico.
