'Reconstruction'
A few months ago, Miroslaw Balka and his family moved to Oliva (Alicante), where he bought an old house with a large garden, which he has thoroughly renovated.
This exhibition is made up of materials found near this new house in Oliva. This house was designed by the great architect Juan Salvador Pérez i Parra and this exhibition is dedicated, in a way, to him and his memory. Miroslaw wanted to pay tribute to him in this way.
The audio piece we are presenting is a reading made by the artist himself of the names that appeared in a local calendar from 2001, which he found in his house in Oliva when he bought it. In this calendar there were names of people listed in various boxes and he reads them while mentioning the names of the Saints corresponding to each day.
