‘Rhythms and Figures’
Titled Rhythms and Figures, the show will consist of a series of large mixed-media works that combine a variety of techniques (painting, collage, drawing, assemblage, wall sculpture, and bas-relief) into sensually hybrid objects whose visual field could be considered a form of “constructed painting.” Employing a range of materials including wood, cardboard, pigment, and charcoal, the works featured in Rhythms and Figures exert a powerful, immediate physical presence through their meticulously orchestrated yet delicately executed simultaneous explorations of color, volume, and line.
