Renato Costa - Heri, Hodie, Craras
Técnica: Oil on linen
Biografía del Artista: Renato Costa (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1974) has been living and working in Madrid since 2005. He began his training in the studio of his father, the painter Manoel Costa, and studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in countries in Europe and America such as Spain, Germany, Belgium, Peru and Columbia. His work is defined by its intense expression of emotions through its technical and thematic characteristics. The themes often present a deep relationship between the past and the present, either through collective history or personal memory. He uses and vindicates figuration, subjectivity, open emotions, autobiography, memory, symbolism, psychology and narrative, mixing these factors with the strategies of conceptual art, in search of the dilation and modulations of a range of pictorial traditions that are increasingly interwoven with each other, in an exercise that aspires to get rid of any prejudice in favor of a freedom of action. His works have been exhibited in several public institutions, among which stand out the IAACC, Aragonese Institute of Contemporary Art and Culture, Pablo Serrano Museum (Zaragoza), CEART Tomás y Valiente Contemporary Art Center (Fuenlabrada, Madrid) and IVAM, Valencian Institute of Modern Art (Valencia), etc. This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authenticating value of the artwork. The certificate may be signed by the author of the artwork, by the representative gallery, or by the engraver who collaborated with the artist on the artwork.
The information that a certificate of authenticity usually includes is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of it.
