Victoria Civera exhibition at Joan Prats gallery

‘Ocelo’

Ocelo refers to the eye, to the pupil, to the macro inner world of the human eye. The image of the circle, recurrent in his work, also alludes to time as a circular movement. In the video entitled Ocelo, a short series of frames shows the fluttering of a butterfly caught by its wings in the windshield wiper of a car moving on the highway. It speaks to us of beauty in transformation and of impotence, of the elusive and of permanent fragility.
