Biografía del Artista: David Delgado Ruiz Madrid, 1975. Since I was a child, I remember thinking about the perception of time. I have always been curious to observe the movement that occurs in those lapses that can seem eternal or, on the contrary, pass by in a flash. It was this reflection that made me find in photography the means to create, through images, the story of the lived moment. I document contemporary reality, telling stories about how time and space generate a context in the social relations between human beings and the hostile environment that surrounds them, the city understood as present, past and future. The line that I work on as “Intervened Reality” is where I develop geometric symmetries between the different spaces that I inhabit and investigate from emptiness and stillness, thereby creating a new fictional reality. From the photographic documentation of the landscape, I explore the limits of the imagination through the integration of two or more images, using digital editing media on analog photography. I propose a reflection on imaginary landscapes, but always possible, coincidental, open dystopian scenarios of tangible and probable futures for human beings in their quest to understand reality and the time through which we travel. I look for images that can be perceived as "real", from the knowledge of their falsity, a critique of the times of fake news, post-photography and augmented reality, which will modify the way we perceive reality, time and space. At the age of ten I wondered what would happen to me at 20, then 30 and now 40. From that innocent child's question, I began to look at time, observe it, trying to discover why sometimes it seems so long and other times, however, it lasts an instant, if in reality both measure the same. I document contemporary reality, telling stories about how time and space generate a context in social relations between human beings and the hostile environment that surrounds them, the city understood as present, past and future. Intervened Reality is the line where I develop geometric symmetries between the different spaces that I inhabit and investigate from emptiness and stillness.
