Técnica: Silver jelly
Biografía del Artista: Gabriel Cualladó was born in Massanassa, Valencia, in 1925. He studied at the School of Arts and Trades in Valencia and began his career as a photographer in the 1950s. He was one of the founding members of the Afal Group, an association of photographers dedicated to renewing photography in Spain in the 1950s and 1960s. Cualladó's work is characterized by social and reportage photography, which captures everyday and spontaneous scenes of urban and rural life. His images capture the essence of people and places, reflecting the social reality of the times in which he lived. In addition to his photographic work, Cualladó was also an important promoter and defender of photography. He was one of the founders of the photography magazine Afal and collaborated in numerous specialized publications. In 1960, Cualladó received the Kodak Spain Foundation Award for his work, and in 1999 he was awarded the National Photography Award from the Ministry of Culture. His work has been exhibited on numerous occasions both in Spain and abroad, and can be found in important contemporary art collections. Gabriel Cualladó died in Madrid on 30 May 2003, but his photographic legacy remains a reference for photography lovers and a testimony to life in Spain in the second half of the 20th century. This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity.
