Rosita DAgrosa - Relazioni
Biografía del Artista: Rosita D'Agrosa (1989) graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. After completing her artistic training, she also obtained a scholarship from the Il Bisonte Foundation for lithography and graphic art. During her academic years, she participated in several artistic residencies in Spain, specifically in Cordillera, Lleida and Artes by Mount. Her artistic research is a continuous exploration that combines painting, graphic art and textile experimentation rooted in her family history. These techniques serve as a medium and language in her work, bridging the gap between poetry and the textile industry. D'Agrosa's poetry highlights a personal and intimate feminine dimension, the result of a rigorous study of the female body and an analysis of the changes to which every human being is subjected. She currently lives and works in Florence. “For an artist, art can be a tool of communication and language through which to break taboos, preconceptions and stereotypes, especially those that unfortunately still persist in the female universe. This is exactly what I try to do in my work: break down walls, use art as a tool of expression, freedom, dialogue, narration and testimony.” Rosita D'Agrosa
Watercolor, intaglio and ink on sanitary napkins from the 1950s. "They are old sanitary pads from my family's wedding trousseau from the 1950s, objects now unknown, which by changing their function become the surface on which I deposit my intimate emotional notes through a kind of symbolic vocabulary. The choice to use old sanitary pads, objects full of meaning, history and poetry, is closely linked to the feminine dimension, just as sewing combined with chalcographic engravings and writing aims to give the idea of a sensitive, intimate and personal dimension, oriented towards dialogue with the other."
