Max Estrella is pleased to present Manolo Paz's most recent work. This exhibition brings back the pulse of the practice of one of the most renowned Iberian sculptors of recent decades.

In the mid-nineties he created the most significant sculptural group in Galicia, Familia de Menhires, neighbours of the Torre de Hércules in A Coruña and which were featured on the covers of magazines such as National Geographic. With an Atlantic vocation, Manolo Paz's work is dominated by the sea, which governs the processes and forms. Metaphorically, we could say that the memory of the sea moulds many of his pieces and is a fundamental element of the original condition of his work.

Manolo Paz (Castrelo, 1957) has exhibited his work at the Pontevedra Museum, the Torrente Ballester Foundation, the MAC in A Coruña and the Cultural Centre of Spain in Panama, among others. His work can be found in collections such as AENA, the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo and the Pilar i Joan Miró Foundation in Palma de Mallorca. He won the Galician Culture Award in 2016 and many of his works can be seen at his own Manolo Paz Foundation in Cambados.
