The chance of restitution

NoguerasBlanchard opened its first space in Barcelona's Raval district in 2004. The programme focuses on offering an interdisciplinary view of conceptually motivated positions and practices. The gallery is interested in a long-term relationship with the artist, accompanying him in the development of his artistic language, as well as in the production of his work over the years. Solo exhibitions are complemented by group exhibitions and other projects.

In 2011, the gallery launched its first annual “Curatorial Open Call,” which is an opportunity for younger curators to present their proposals. Other initiatives include “Kitchen Talks,” where artists, critics, curators and other cultural agents are invited to give informal talks in the gallery.

In September 2012, it opened a second space in Madrid to generate new audiences, contexts and possibilities. Located next to the MNCARS, the project was a pioneer in establishing, together with other galleries, a gallery nucleus that has reached fifteen galleries this year and is known as MadridDF. In Catalonia, since October 2015, NoguerasBlanchard has been located in a new 540 m2 space in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, in an industrial building that houses other galleries and artists' workshops.
