Luis González Palma - THE SONG AFTER THE MEETING II
Biografía del Artista: In my artistic process I have tried to create images that invite to be examined through what I call “emotional contemplation”, giving them the meaning of their form through their beauty. Over the years I have built scenarios and modified certain faces to create images that allow other perceptions of the world, other ways of understanding it, and of modifying it internally.
I have tried to represent scenes charged with significant psychological experiences, “investing” them (through the name of the photo) with dialogues that are part of a silent script in apparently disconnected films. An essay of images charged with mystery and tension that present a stopped and disturbing drama, in which each photo acts as an instant of an elongated dream, and in which timeless figures are like wounds of memory. In each of the images, the visible body and the object are vehicles for entering a secret but brilliant world, openly presented, yet encapsulated, denied caress, but offered to the gaze, as occurs in religious iconography. The staging presents the time of the unconscious with its free association, its yearnings and its fears; human acts have been woven into an unreal and outdated world; death is once again staged within the sacred shine of gold leaf.
