Biografía del Artista: Simon Edmondson (United Kingdom, 1955) is an artist who trained in renowned British schools before earning an MA in Painting at Chelsea College of Art (London) in 1977-78, and an MFA in Painting at Syracuse University (New York) in 1978-80. He is considered one of the most important painters on the international scene, with exhibitions in Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the United States and Spain. From the beginning, Edmondson has practiced figurative painting with an expressionist language, where forms dissolve and vanish in empty and ruined settings, as a nostalgic and rescuing evocation of the past. He had his first major institutional exhibition at the Deutsche Bank in Madrid in 1998 and in 2009/10 at the Stadtgalerie Klagenfurt in Austria.This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authenticating value of the artwork. The certificate may be signed by the author of the artwork, by the representative gallery, or by the engraver who collaborated with the artist on the artwork.
