David Benarroch - GGLL
Biografía del Artista: David Benarroch is a contemporary artist working and residing between Durham, North Carolina, Madrid, and Tel Aviv. He was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1987 and studied Fine Arts at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Design. He then completed a Master of Fine Arts in 2015 in the Fine Arts program at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Tel Aviv, graduating with honors. In his work, Benarroch explores the relationship between the human body and architecture, often creating site-specific installations that engage the viewer in a multi-sensory experience. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums around the world, including Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Israel and France. In 2019, she presented a solo exhibition titled “My Hands Froze, My Knees Fell Silent” at the HaMiffal Exhibition Hall in Jerusalem, which explored the connection between the human body and the built environment through a series of installations and photographs. In 2018, he presented “Layer, Access, Pit” at the ATAR-Museum of Antiquities in Jaffa, a solo exhibition that examined the relationship between architecture and history. Benarroch has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the Dynamo Drawing Biennial in 2019 at the Barbur Gallery in Jerusalem and the Jewish Art Biennial at the Museum of Jewish Art in Jerusalem in the same year. In short, David Benarroch is an interdisciplinary artist who works in a variety of media and disciplines, including installation, photography, and drawing, to explore the relationship between the human body and architecture in his work. His work has been exhibited internationally and has been the subject of several solo and group exhibitions around the world.
