Biografía del Artista: Dénes Farkas is a contemporary artist born in Budapest in 1974 and currently living in Estonia for the past seventeen years. He studied Graphic Arts at the Estonian Academy of Fine Arts in 2001 and subsequently completed his training with a Master's degree in Media Art and Photography in 2003. His artwork has been widely recognized and exhibited both in Estonia and in internationally renowned exhibitions, including the Moscow Biennial of Photography in 2014 and the Berlin Biennial of Photography in 2016. Dénes Farkas' work is characterized by exploring the complex relationships between image, language and visual perception. His works consist of photographs, videos and collages that fuse elements of reality with more abstract ones, thus creating compositions that question the limits of visual representation and the subjectivity of the gaze. In addition to his work as an artist, Dénes Farkas has also worked as an Associate Professor at the Estonian Academy of Fine Arts and as a project manager at the Hungarian Institute's headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia.
