Biografía del Artista: Armando de la Garza BIO Born in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, in 1973, he began his painting studies at a very young age, but it was not until 1995, when he finished his degree in architecture, that he began his professional career in the art world. He has exhibited in more than 40 collective exhibitions in the USA, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Australia, Italy, Spain and Mexico. ? Individually he has exhibited on more than 25 occasions, highlighting "anywhere this can be found" at Ginocchio Gallery in DF, "Once Upon a Time" at the Center for the Arts in Monterrey, "ID" at Emma Molina Gallery, San Pedro Garza Gcia. "The Misfortunes of Virtue" Oblyon Gallery, Barcelona, Spain, "Horror Vacui" Isabel Croxatto Gallery, Santiago de Chile "Portraits of the Court" alternative gallery once or "Biotá" in the Area Cretiva 42 space in Rivarolo Italy among others. He has been awarded various recognitions such as the acquisition prize at the XVIII Review of Nuevoleonesa plastic arts and first place in the first biennial of the German Cultural Center as well as selections at the IX FEMSA Biennial and in different issues of the Review of Nuevoleonesa plastic arts, and the National Meeting of young art among others.
Figurative painting by Mexican artist Armando de la Garza, titled #50, is part of the series “The Transvaluation of All Values.” Series of appropriations of classical portraits to later be intervened.
