Javier De Juan - Black step 1
Técnica: Acrylic on paper
Biografía del Artista: An artist belonging to the generation of comic artists from the late 70s and early 80s, he appeared in the art world related to the movida madrileña. Since then he has worked from a conception of art as a present and transformative element of civil society, seeking presence and visibility through media, techniques and content. All his work is based on drawing as a hunter of ideas and as the basis of all artistic creation. These concepts have led him to work with all possible languages. From comics to large murals, among others at Barajas airport in Madrid or on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands. From collaborations in the press and posters, to projections on facades in recent years and installations. To and fro. Stepping on the ground, the world. Walking. Coming and going. The Earth is round, the universe is curved. Going straight is going around. Infinity is a point. You always get somewhere. Digital, virtual steps, moving in parallel worlds, in infinite meta landscapes. But also analog, physical steps. Movements expressed with burnt wood, with oil and pigments on cotton and linen papers. Small, satisfying, convenient, everyday eternities. The beauty of the ephemeral. Life. To move is to be, to exist, to build a now. It is to fill a meanwhile. To walk is to live. This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authenticating value of the artwork.
