Biografía del Artista: "Joy Charpentier was born in 1991 into the Gypsy community. She travels with her family in France before settling in Sète in the south in 2000. She studied art at the University of Montpellier III, Villa Arson in Nice, and finally obtains her diploma and completes her course at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bourges in 2017. Co-founder of the artist collective Groupe Vengeance, she works alone or in a group and develops a multidisciplinary artistic practice: performance, drawing, installation. Her work is autobiographical and tends to deconstruct systems of social domination with absurd, crude humour and misappropriation. She lives and works in Montpellier."
