Biografía del Artista: He is a scholarship holder of the Casa de Velázquez artist (Academie de France in Madrid). He teaches photography at the Escuela Sur (founded by La Fábrica and the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid), at the Photoespaña International Master's Degree (PIC.A) and at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED). He has given numerous Masterclasses at universities such as Nebrija, Carlos III, TAI and Arte10. May 3rd in Madrid is a photograph taken during the filming of Goya: 3 de mayo, a short documentary made by the acclaimed filmmaker Carlos Saura, who recently left us after being awarded the Goya honorary award for his film career. Both the documentary and Jorge Fuembuena's photograph are based on Francisco de Goya's famous painting The Executions of the Third of May, one of the most emblematic paintings in the history of art in Spain. The work depicts the early hours of May 3, 1808, after the uprising of the people of Madrid against Napoleonic forces, in which a group of French soldiers executes the Spanish prisoners. The painting is one of the greatest examples of the representation of the theme of the horrors of war, a recurring theme in Goya's work and of special relevance in the current historical context. Jorge Fuembuena's work is a tribute to two masters, the painter Goya and the filmmaker Saura, with his photography becoming, more than ever, a bridge between pictorial representation and cinema.This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authenticating value of the artwork. The certificate may be signed by the author of the artwork, by the representative gallery, or by the engraver who collaborated with the artist on the artwork.
The information that a certificate of authenticity usually includes is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of it.
Recomendaciones para una conservación adecuada de las obras de arte:

- Si se quiere iluminar la obra de forma permanente, aconsejamos utilizar focos de luz fría. Utilizar un plumero suave para la limpieza periódica de la obra. Nunca usar limpiador doméstico.
