Biografía del Artista: Juan Díaz (Toledo, 1953) is considered one of the best watercolourists on the national scene. His compositions are characterised by large formats, which are unusual in watercolours due to the complexity involved in their execution. In addition, several of his compositions can represent different parts of the same landscape. Thus, the spectator can arrange them consecutively, making even the separation between them part of the artistic work, or individually, because each canvas is a complete work. Since he held his first solo exhibition in 1972, he has developed an extensive creative work that has led him to exhibit throughout Spain and in different countries such as Argentina, Colombia, the United States, France and Italy. He has participated on numerous occasions in fairs such as: ARCO; ARTEBA, Buenos Aires (Argentina); FIA, Caracas (Venezuela); ART FAIR, Palm Spring (USA); ART FAIR, Santa Fé (USA); LINEART, Ghent (Belgium); ARTESANTANDER, Santander (Spain); ARTEBO, Bogotá (Colombia); etc.He participated in different competitions in which he has been awarded numerous prizes, among which are: National Watercolour Prize 1990 CAM, Madrid; 1st Medal at the 60th Autumn Salon, Madrid; Special Mention at the 5th Autumn Salon of Plasencia; 1st Prize for Painting “Army Awards 1996”, Madrid; Acquisition Prize at the 1st Wellington Foundation Competition, Madrid; Rafael Requena Special Prize at the “IV National Watercolour Competition 2003”, Caudete (Albacete); 1st and 2nd Prize at the 7th and 5th National Watercolour Competition”, Caudete (Albacete).His works appear in different museums, private collections and institutions in Europe and America and he was named Cerdán de Oro in recognition of his artistic career in Talavera de la Reina in 1993.This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. Recomendaciones para una conservación adecuada de las obras de arte:
- Mantener las obras de arte alejadas de la luz directa del sol y de cualquier otra fuente de calor (calefacción, aire acondicionado, etc.) Evitar colgar las obras cerca de zonas con humo y contaminación (como chimeneas o cocinas). Te aconsejamos proteger los cuadros con un marco de cristal.
- Evitar las alteraciones bruscas de temperatura. Se recomienda conservar las obras pictóricas en zonas con temperatura ambiente de entre 18-20º y un 50% de humedad relativa.
- Si se quiere iluminar la obra de forma permanente, aconsejamos utilizar focos de luz fría. Utilizar un plumero suave para la limpieza periódica de la obra. Nunca usar limpiador doméstico.
