Biografía del Artista: “I have been avoiding music since I was 16. Especially live music, theatres and concert halls. An abrupt diagnosis of hearing loss predicted a gradual loss of hearing, so I decided to remedy this by depriving myself of the pleasure of sound in advance. Later came the feeling of isolation; the ambient sound became noise and the voices around me merged with it. Instinctively, I accustomed my brain to fill in the gaps, imagining what could be and filling them with images.” — Laia Abril “Silent Song” is a project created under the concept of the Gran Teatre del Liceu season: Voices of Obsession, the result of a deep dialogue between the Catalan artist Laia Abril and the Dutch composer Rubén Samama. The musical piece, based on the frequencies that Abril cannot hear, is translated into backlit pieces like a psychomagic ritual, visualizing the inaudible.This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authenticating value of the artwork. The certificate may be signed by the author of the artwork, by the representative gallery, or by the engraver who collaborated with the artist on the artwork.
The information that a certificate of authenticity usually includes is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of it.
