Biografía del Artista: Throughout seven decades of artistic production, Luis Feito positioned himself as one of the great promoters of culture in Spain and an indispensable figure in the History of Art. In 1957 he founded the El Paso group together with other artists such as Saura, Millares and Canogar, with whom he shared a concern for the stagnation of art in Spain and a clear opposition to the Regime, and together they began to renew the country's aesthetic postulates and investigate new avenues of creation. Feito's work, throughout its various periods, is characterized by gestural abstraction with ascetic overtones. Formal and material simplification are traits of a work influenced by the automatism and unique brushstrokes of traditional Chinese painting. His spontaneous painting represents the direct emanation of the artist's inner nature. Feito spent long periods abroad and exhibited regularly in major cities such as Madrid, Paris, Milan, New York, Helsinki, Tokyo and Rome, having taken part in events such as the XXXI Venice Biennale, ARCO and Art Basel. Among the distinctions he received are his appointment as Officer of the Arts and Letters of France (1985), the Gold Medal of Fine Arts (1998) and the position of Member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid (1998). His work is part of important museums and public collections such as the Guggenheim Foundation in New York, the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Museum of Abstract Art in Cuenca, the Juan March Foundation and the Fundación la Caixa.This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. Recomendaciones para una conservación adecuada de las obras de arte:
- Mantener las obras de arte alejadas de la luz directa del sol y de cualquier otra fuente de calor (calefacción, aire acondicionado, etc.) Evitar colgar las obras cerca de zonas con humo y contaminación (como chimeneas o cocinas). Te aconsejamos proteger los cuadros con un marco de cristal.
- Evitar las alteraciones bruscas de temperatura. Se recomienda conservar las obras pictóricas en zonas con temperatura ambiente de entre 18-20º y un 50% de humedad relativa.
- Si se quiere iluminar la obra de forma permanente, aconsejamos utilizar focos de luz fría. Utilizar un plumero suave para la limpieza periódica de la obra. Nunca usar limpiador doméstico.
