Margret Eicher - Stadt der Frauen
Técnica: Digital Montage, Jacquard Weaving
Biografía del Artista: Margaret Eicher is a German contemporary artist born in Viersen in 1955, known for her work in collage art. She studied at the School of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf and in her work she combines contemporary images from different origins and sources to create a new reality. Her style is characterized by the use of digital techniques, in which she tries to generate a single image with all the elements she accommodates, achieving that the contours are not visible as in manual collage. Often, her works are large in size and are exhibited in large spaces so that viewers can immerse themselves in them and appreciate the details. One of her best-known works is "After the Hunt", a digital collage work from 2008 that measures 200 cm high by 340 cm wide. This work was exhibited at the DAM Berlin gallery and is an example of the use of contemporary images in her work. Margaret Eicher has exhibited her work in galleries and museums around the world, including Germany, France, Spain, the United States, among other countries. Her work can be found in public and private collections, and she has received numerous awards and recognitions for her artistic career. In short, Margaret Eicher is a German contemporary artist prominent in the art of digital collage, who uses contemporary images to create new realities in her large-format works, which have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity.
