Miguel Piñeiro - No ducks given
Biografía del Artista: Miguel Piñeiro is a Spanish artist born in 1963 in La Coruña. He trained at the Pablo Picasso School of Arts and Crafts in his hometown and at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts in Madrid. Since then, he has developed a career as a painter and printmaker. Miguel Piñeiro's work is characterized by a personal aesthetic that combines figuration and abstraction. In his paintings, he uses a vibrant color palette and a technique of loose, expressive brushstrokes that creates textures and layers on the surface of the work. His images evoke an imaginary and dreamlike world, full of symbolism and fantasy. As for his graphic work, Miguel Piñeiro has explored various printmaking techniques, such as woodcut, lithography, and silkscreen. His works on paper reflect his interest in nature, mythology, and popular culture. Images are often interspersed with texts written in different languages, creating a literary dimension in his works. Miguel Piñeiro has received numerous awards throughout his career. These include the Young Painting Prize from the Barrié de la Maza Foundation, the Engraving Prize from the Pontevedra Biennial, and the National Engraving Prize from the Spanish Ministry of Culture. In addition, his work has been exhibited in various galleries and museums in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, the United States, and Mexico.
Miguel Piñeiro is a hyperrealist artist rooted in pop aesthetics with a nonconformist and experimental spirit that leads him to apply his outstanding technical skill to painting, but also to sculpture and installation. His pieces are visually surprising, and establish a very direct and emotional dialogue with the viewer, as they depict objects that are present in our daily lives or characters from childhood. This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity.
