Biografía del Artista: The work of Pamen Pereira (Ferrol, 1963) moves between drawing, painting, sculpture, installation; sometimes photography or video, or any other medium or material useful to concretize the creative act. Her creative process, generally fused with life experience, is closely linked to nature, from which she extracts most of her images. His work has been shown in national and international art centers and museums: Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo (CGAC), Museo de la Cultura de Galicia in Santiago de Compostela, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Castilla y León (MUSAC), the Institut Valencià d'Art Modern (IVAM), the Museum of Lugo, the Esteban Vicente Museum in Segovia, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Alicante (MACA), the Museum Zu Allerheiligen in Schaffhausen in Switzerland, the Opera House in Cairo, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center in Alexandria, Egypt, the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, the National Museum of Visual Arts in Montevideo and the Museum of the City in Querétaro, Mexico, Recent Gallery (Sapporo, Japan), Barg Gallery (Tehran, Iran), Galerie d'art du Conseil Général des Bouches-du-Rho^ne (Aix-en-Provence, Marseille), Palazzo Pinucci and Galleria Via Larga in Florence, the Senate Palace (Madrid), the Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas in Venezuela, the Juan March Foundation, Madrid, and the Velazquez Palace, Madrid. He has participated in biennials and fairs such as ARCO Madrid, Art Chicago in Cologne, Nagoya in Japan, and Art Basel in Basel, and his work has been widely catalogued since 1989.

Pamen Pereira shows the power of roots as they sew and twist underground, emerging as a metonym of natural order that represents the silhouette of Africa, a whole fabric that runs through the landscape and clings to the terrain (the territory) to be, above, the world and, below, life itself.
