Biografía del Artista: Ricard Terré was born in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, on 5 July 1928. He has lived in Vigo since 1959, where he died on 29 October 2009. He studied at the School of Advanced Commercial Studies in Barcelona. He began his career in the art world as a painter and caricaturist and did not begin to practise photography until 1955, when he came into contact with members of the Photographic Group of Catalonia. He held his first photography exhibition in 1957 with Ramón Masats and Xavier Miserachs. In 1958 he joined the Afal group (Photographic Group of Almería), where he became a member of its Board of Directors and participated in all its activities. At the end of the 1960s he abandoned photography. In 1982 he resumed his activity as a photographer and participated in several solo and group exhibitions, both national and international. He is considered one of the most outstanding photographers of his generation. Recently, his international projection has grown thanks to the Vú agency in Paris. His photography, with great thematic and formal coherence, has a subjective character that makes it identifiable even taking into account the diversity of series that he has produced in recent years. In 2008 he received the Bartolomé Ros Award for the best photographic career, awarded by the PhotoEspaña photography festival. This artwork includes a certificate of authenticity.
