Ricardo Escavy - Gold
Biografía del Artista: Ricardo Escavy (Calasparra 1979), graduated in Fine Arts from the Faculty of San Carlos in Valencia and received a scholarship from said faculty to study at the Armando Reverón University Institute of Higher Studies in Plastic Arts in Caracas, Venezuela. His work focuses on the perceptual relationship between the plastic and the musical, given the wide spectrum of similarities that exist between both languages. The different graphic elements that make up his work and their behavior in the plastic environment are understood as if they were sound stimuli, where rhythm, tone and space generate a sense of temporality to lead the viewer to a sound vision of the work. It is worth noting that he was selected in 2008 by the Ministry of Culture for the project Ideas and Proposals for Art in Spain and thus became part of its stand at ARCO 2008 and the funds of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid. He has held numerous exhibitions, both collectively and individually, since 2001, highlighting his last two solo exhibitions, which took place last year at SHIRAS Gallery in Valencia and at Artifact Gallery in New York.
