Rosa Torres - Nurseries in blue
Biografía del Artista: Rosa Torres (Valencia-1948), an artist with a long career, has been marked by a very well-known and personal style with a certain inclination towards pop art with a natural theme since her artistic beginnings together with Equipo Crónica. During her extensive career she has defined her language to exorbitant limits, delimiting natural forms with a reduced and marked vision that extracts the essence of reality. Her works are often untitled and merely transport you to the place, knowing how to capture the essence of light, form and colour. Rosa Torres has an extensive career, as she participated representing Spain in the Venice Biennale in 1982 and has more than 250 exhibitions and a great presence in numerous museums and collections such as: Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; Museo Albertina Gabinete Stampa, Vienna; Fundanción Antonio Pérez, Cuenca; IVAM, Museo Cabo Mayor, Santander. Museo del drawing de LLares, Huesca; Mural at the Facultades Station of the Valencia Metro; Chase Manhattan Bank, New York; Banco de Valencia; “la Caixa” Foundation, Barcelona; Caja Vital, Kutxa; Vitoria; Bancaja Foundation; Valencian Community Foundation, Brussels; Community of Madrid Collection, Fran Daurel Foundation, Pueblo Español, Barcelona; Duchess of Alba Collection, Vila Casas Collection, Barcelona, among others.
