Discover the art and wine experience at BAD+ Art Fair
May 04, 2023
The BAD+ ART FAIR has been taking place for two editions in Bordeaux , France, and is back this May 2023 , from the 5th to the 9th, to once again offer incredible experiences that unite contemporary art with the city and the world of wines.
Since its inception, the fair has organised visits to castles and wineries, and this is what makes it special. Combining art with wine is one of the best experiences you can have. In addition, many of these wineries have their own art collections, so it is a unique opportunity to get to know them and see all the works that are part of them, from contemporary masters to established artists.
BuyIn this edition, you can't miss visiting 6 of our favorite galleries .
1. CHRISTIAN BERST ART BRUT
By presenting contemporary art brut , the Christian Berst Gallery demonstrates that it is not limited to a period, a geographical perimeter, or even a formal spectrum. Rather, the gallery aims to question the notion of individual mythology dear to Harald Szeemann.
2. ALVARO ALCAZAR
The Álvaro Alcázar Gallery is defined as an exhibition space and a platform for promoting established and emerging artists, both national and international, with the quality of their work always being the applied selection criterion.
3. SATOR GALLERY
The Sator Gallery opened its doors in October 2011 in the Marais district of Paris. Its vocation is to promote emerging French and international contemporary artists. Interested in all media (painting, photography, drawing, objects, installation, video), this gallery strives to defend the work of artists based on a balance between the sensitive or intellectual conception of the work and its plastic result.
4. PALMADOTZE
Palmadotze is a contemporary art gallery that bases its programming on alternating promotional exhibitions of young artists with the display of recent works by great exponents of art from the second avant-garde to the present day. In fact, the gallery also pays special attention to the work of artists on the international scene.
5. PIGMENT GALLERY
Committed to issues such as climate change, education, respect for the environment and women's empowerment, the gallery has held various exhibitions and collaborations that point in this direction. Since its founding in 2016, its line of work, made up of contemporary artists, includes promising young artists and more established artists from the Spanish and international scene.
6. RAFAEL PEREZ HERNANDO
Rafael Pérez Hernando opened its doors for the first time in 2004, although its activity dates back to 1986, when a series of exhibitions took place in the first space located on Claudio Coello Street. These were dedicated to Spanish painters of recognised career, highlighting a specific period of their production, and paying special attention to paper as a support. Currently, eclecticism and a rigorous personal selection articulate the meaning of the exhibitions. Interest in young creators coexists with the appreciation of the career of painters with greater international recognition.
