Art Wednesday: Beatriz Olano
Art Wednesdays with Elisa Hernando presents the work of the artist Beatriz Olano (Medellín, 1965). Her work is influenced by artists such as Mondrian, Malevich or Rothko. In her artistic production, geometry, color and line predominate, in addition to the relationship with objects, space and an almost architectural approach. As an artist, she is interested in modifying the way we perceive space. To do so, she finds, deconstructs, and reconfigures objects, materials and everyday spaces to create new realities. In this video we take a tour of her artistic production and exhibitions in museums such as the one in Antioquia or with the help of gallery owners Rafael Pérez Hernando, Carlos Hurtado and the artist herself. The works will be temporarily available for sale online at Redcollectors.
